Prasad has spent 35+ years inside the operating heart of India's special and alloy steel industry — not advising it from the outside.

He has run plants, not just reviewed them: as Chief of Manufacturing Operations at Mukand Ltd. for over a decade, he held full P&L responsibility for one of India's leading alloy and special steel producers, delivering a 22% cut in Steel Melt Shop power consumption and 20% sales-volume growth. He later led manufacturing operations at Riyadh Steel in Saudi Arabia, and was President at Sarloha Advanced Materials (formerly Kalyani Carpenter Special Steels).

His technical range covers steel making by Electric Arc, Induction and Mini Blast Furnace routes, remelting by ESR/VAR, rolling and finishing applied through Lean, TPM, TQM, Six Sigma, TOC and SMED programmes.

Prashant is a data and analytics executive with 20 years of international experience across the US, Middle East and India, turning P&L ownership into measurable operational and commercial results.

He has managed portfolios exceeding $10B in balances and 5M+ accounts, consistently converting analytical rigor into bottom-line performance: a 900% profitability uplift through model-driven segmentation, $100M+ in incremental revenue from predictive demand and targeting models, and multi-million-dollar cost reductions through forecasting and resource-allocation optimisation.

His career began with an internship at Tata Iron and Steel Co. (Tisco) during his graduate studies at IIFT — an early grounding in industrial operations that still shapes his approach to complex, high-stakes environments today.
